BOOKING YOUR SESSION:
Interested in booking a session but don't know where to start? We will solidify what type of session you’d like, what location you are interested in, when the best time for your photos would be, and what session package you'd like.
For newborn and baby studio sessions, I schedule a pre-session consultation. This consultation is completely free to you to come to my home based studio to meet with me. This gives us a chance to get acquainted and see if you're comfortable with me and my space for your little one's photos. Being a mama of two, I wouldn't want to show up for my baby's session and not know the environment I'm walking into or the person who is going to be handling my child. At your consult, we will discuss color choices and props you are interested in for your little one's session. We can also custom order items you'd like to add to your session if desired. Once you decide you want to book me as your photographer, we start to get the process rolling!
A $50 deposit is due at the time of booking your session. I’ll compile all your information in a convenient email that will include the details of the session, how to pay, help on what to wear, and a few other tidbits of information. A PayPal invoice for the deposit to book your session will be sent to you via email, however, you are welcome to pay your deposit with cash or card but would need to schedule a consultation to take the payment in person. You may pay the remainder balance of your session by invoice at the end of your session by cash or card. For paying your remainder balance by invoice, your session must be paid in full by he day prior to your session. Once the session fee or deposit is paid, your session is booked. I book 3-6 weeks in advance, and will book as far out as needed (especially for weddings). You receive your edited images via your own private, downloadable gallery with print release and are available within 2-4 weeks of your session and 6-8 weeks for weddings.
YOUR PHOTO SESSION:
We will meet at the selected location at the scheduled time, go over any special photo requests or needs you have, and then get shooting! We do various poses and walk around our location to get new perspectives. I like to keep things relaxed and fun, talk about you and your family, and try not to make it all about posing or stiff smiles. I love capturing the natural moments and the candid shots just as much as the smiling-at-the-camera moments. I’m happy to accommodate any fun posing ideas you have, or any props you’d like to incorporate. The following are various ideas that can make your photo experience more enjoyable:
If you have young children, feel free to bring anything that will keep them happy (e.g. snacks, juice, favorite toy, etc.).
Bring necessities to accommodate to the weather such as jackets if its cold for in between shots.
Feel free to bring any props that you find fun (signs, pets, sunglasses, hats, bicycles, etc.)
If we are planning a clothing change, remember that it may need to be done in the car as many locations are remote.
